Charleston Department Store is committed to providing our customers with excellent customer service. Below is our standard return policy for orders purchased online or over the telephone.

 Furniture Items

 Furniture Items are defined as oversized items including recliners, couches, sofas, and tables. These items are not returnable. However the manufactures warranties still apply for these items and are handled through the manufacture. Please inspect the items when they arrive from the carrier and report all shipping damage to us and the carrier at that time.

Sports Related Products 

 Currently sports related items are not available for return. If you receive an item that is damaged please contact us within seven days and we will work to replace the item or will refund your order.

Clearance Merchandise

All merchandise sold at a 35% or greater discount is considered a clearance sale and not available for return. If you receive an item that is damaged please contact us within seven days and we will either refund or replace the item at our discretion.

Standard Return Policy For Items Not Covered Above

Charleston Department Store will provide a free exchange or issue a full refund for all non-clearance items not listed under our other policies above. received within 30 days of when the items were shipped, provided the items are unworn, unwashed, with all original tags attached, and free of defects. For exchanges, you may still return the item within 30 days of when you received the exchanged item. If you receive a defective product, you must notify us within seven days of receiving the product to be eligible for a return. If you do not follow this policy, we will only accept defective items at our discretion.

Items without tags attached will be subject to a $5.00 restocking fee.

Return Shipping

Charleston Department Store is not responsible for shipping costs on returned merchandise. Make sure when returning an item you use a traceable shipping method and be sure to keep a copy of your tracking number.

If we make a mistake in processing your order please contact us to arrange exchange of the product within seven days from the date you receive your order.
